I was reading this the other day and I thought it was such an inspiring post! so read on:
The Four Candles burned slowly. Their Ambiance was so soft you could hear them speak... The first candle said, "I Am Peace, but these days, nobody wants to keep me lit." Then Peace's flame slowly diminishes and goes out completely.
The second candle says, "I Am Faith, but these days, I am no longer indispensable." Then Faith's flame slowly diminishes and goes out completely.
Sadly the third candle spoke, "I Am Love and I haven't the strength to stay lit any longer.""People put me aside and don't understand my importance. They even forget to love those who are nearest to them." And waiting no longer, Love goes out completely. Suddenly...A child enters the room and sees the three candles no longer burning. The child begins to cry, "Why are you not burning? You are supposed to stay lit until the end."
Then the Fourth Candle spoke gently to the little boy, “Don’t be afraid, for I Am Hope, and while I still burn, we can re-light the other candles." With Shining eyes the child took the Candle of Hope and lit the other three candles. Never let the Flame of Hope go out of your life. With Hope, no matter how bad things look and are...Peace, Faith and Love can Shine Brightly in our lives

Ever felt betrayed? ever felt so used and then discarded as scrap? Ever felt so hurt beyond repair? Ever felt heartbroken?
...What do you do when you feel so depressed that you don't want to get up in the morning; you just don't see the point.
There's been a sudden change. You were so attached and dependent on someone and currently they are no longer there. There's so much time on your hands and it makes you realise how much of your time you dedicated to them.
Or…
You recall the fun times you had with your best friend, how you both swore to always tell the truth to each other. Now you wonder why He/she lied? “How could they do this to me?” you ask , eyes burning with angry tears. You’re so bitter and you feel you can never trust anyone again.
You try to move on but every second of the day, you replay the event - the one that left this huge gaping hole in your heart - over and over again. Nothing seems to matter anymore. You walk around with a plastic smile plastered on your face, your mind is faraway in no-man’s land and you’re just bleeding away internally.
You can’t really look past ‘here’, the pain is just too great, way past your threshold. Tears stream down your cheeks every time your mind takes you back, down memory lane. And you ask “why? Why should someone decide to smash my heart into pieces and step all over it? Why?”
I was just ‘looking inside’ on life and trying to understand why we as humans hurt other people. The heart is strong and tough yet so delicate. Matters of the heart are sensitive.
Sometimes, I guess we just get so bogged down in the baggage we ourselves are carrying that we don’t see how we are damaging other people and hurting them.
People are people; not objects but PEOPLE i.e living beings. We can feel, we can see, we can sense, we are Alive! We all have that desire to be loved. We want to feel needed, we want to feel valuable, we want to belong.
We want to feel LOVED….Love is the emotion of strong affection and personal attachment. love is the basis for all being because God is love. We were created by God and we have been commanded to Love one another just as Christ loved us.

I think it’s about time that we stopped using people and start appreciating them.. Simple things like commenting on what someone’s good at, paying a compliment about their outfit, making a call to check up on a friend can make a huge difference.
It’s not just the big breakups in relationships that break hearts, sometimes it’s the little cracks that you make by not caring that all add up until there’s a clean dividing line across a heart.

So maybe we need to just STOP , step out for a minute and take a look into our lives...
If you’re hurt, just know that there is a God who can heal your broken heart and mend it so it’s just as good as new. After all, He made it…He made YOU!
If you’ve done wrong to someone and you hurt them, it’s not the end of the world…just make sure you don’t let pride creep in. Just apologize. It’s amazing how that one word ‘sorry’ can make a lot of things better. And just ask them to forgive you, try and make amends. Don’t expect that they’ll come round immediately because they are still wounded so give it time as well.

I watched this short documentary at the cinema with my friends.The cinema was packed out and the tickets sold out so quickly which really surprised me. I guess that had to do with the fact that it was showing for one day only but also that the content MUST have been worth viewing.
As the movie played on, I was touched, inspired to do a lot more and to show the Love of Christ to to others and I learnt so much:
We keep calling this journey of life a race. The word 'race' sparks up this concept of competition. We're all running this race and everyone is trying to get ahead of the other person by any means possible but do we ever stop and think, just ask yourself "where are am I running to?"
Security, fame and all other materials things that we run towards is not a destination.
In a world of iTunes, iPod, iPhone and so on, It's all to do with 'I' - so self centered! We don't seem to think about our neighbours, brothers, sisters or friends...nope, we don't think about anyone else!
Everyone needs love. He loved us when we were useless; He laid His life down for us - now that's love! John 3:16. God is Love and to show love, we should lay down our life for our brothers and sister. What that means is not to literally 'die' in their place but to go out of our way to help others. There are times when we could give that old lady a hand with her shopping or we could let that mother with a pram get onto the bus first.
A perfect sacrifice was made by a perfect person for ALL the imperfect people. 1 Corinthians 4:18 - Love trusts, love protects, love always hopes, love never fails.
Each individual is unique; one person. Everyone cannot do everything but you as one person can do something. A lot of the time, we see the suffering in the world and we train ourselves not to look at the needs around us 'cos we may be a daily wreck. The thing is, we are fanning the flame if we sit back and do nothing.
There are countries where children are homeless; their bed is somebody's footpath. Children are the future but if they are not in that environment of school and education, they don't really have a future.
As I said before, everyone needs love. That seems to be the solution to a lot of things and there's a message of Love that has been given to us freely but how come people aren't hearing it?
The problem is not with the message but with the people delivering it. Christians are not known for what we stand for, rather for what we DO NOT stand for e.g abortions, same sex marriages e.t.c. We have made a big deal out of small things and small things out of a BIG deal. What we stand for seems pretty small when compared with the suffering in the world.
Jesus didn't die to give us religion but to give us LOVE. God's plan is HIS PEOPLE! Human judgement is never fair, tainted by selfish desires and incomplete knowledge. We are never gonna measure up to be perfect but the great thing about that is that He is not seeking our perfection.
We just need to accept His grace, be transparent and take off our self righteous apparel so people can look into us and see Jesus. God's picture for the church is that wherever there is people, we should light up the town.
We are the body of Jesus Christ. If Christ was here in the flesh; in His physical body, He would meet the needs of people. Love ACTS, you can't just talk about it, you need to show it. Ephesians 5:1-2
Everyone wants to make a change, some are waiting for a 'calling' - some sorta voice to say this is what you are to do. BUT where you see a need, go out and meet that need - that's your ministry! Don't waste a second hesitating. We are the future but also the PRESENT.
To change History, Take your place in HIS story. Lets war against injustice & oppression and let our love unite us and let our lives impress Jesus Christ!

I remember when I saw you yesterday. A smile danced on my lips, My heart leaped for joy as we briefly brushed each other. My heart beats faster when you're around but at the same time my Body unwinds from tension and stress. You walked into my life so easily, Stealing the keys to unlock my heart. You swiped me off my feet calmly, And now I'm head over heels! I still wonder how a perfect gentleman could generate Such strong emotions in me... The art of romance, the song of love; you've effortlessly mastered the skills. I take pleasure in your cuddle. Having your arm around me in that warm hug, Sends a tingle down my spine but at the same time a sense of protection settles in my mind. Tiny, pretty butterflies make themselves at home in my stomach, as my heart connects with yours; the chemistry becoming increasingly stronger. When we are together in the midst of a boisterous crowd, It feels like we are alone in our world....this magical world! An overwhelming feeling of ecstasy and excitement Clouds my mentation of reality. That's how you make me feel.
